Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a member of the Wisconsin Synod. The Wisconsin Synod is an association of over 1300 congregations in the United States. This association of congregations also supports missionaries in many foreign countries. The Synod (pronounced sin' id) was formed in 1850 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. To this day, Synod headquarters are located in Milwaukee.
